White Woman Calls 911 on Stop the Violence Walk

After the “Stop the Violence” rally in North Charleston, Black families stopped at Murphy’s Gas Station to get the children some drinks after walking a mile.  That’s when the station’s manager said she wanted the families to leave and doesn’t care about their Black money. #GasStationGail 1-800-843-4298. The store location is 8599 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406.

#StayWoke White people are bad at admitting implicit bias and therefore good at denying the realities of racism. Addressing racism makes many White people feel anger, fear and guilt, which leads to denial, minimization and defensiveness. That’s when the “ostrich effect” happens and they play the victim or hide.
