Dog Lives Matter

He was celebrating the fact he was about to become a father at a baby shower, then went outside addressing an argument, during which he was asking the people involved to leave. Cops were called, and when they arrived, they believed Theoddeus Gray 29, had a gun.
The St. Clair Shores Police Department says officers were called to the Lakeland Manor Banquet Hall on Harper Avenue near Ten Mile on reports of a man with a long gun.

Investigators say he ran, shot a canine officer pursuing him, killing the dog. He then was shot and killed.

Gray’s family is not convinced. They do not believe he had a gun. They think he is a victim of mistaken identity.

They say they believe the police were trying to find some people who were asked to leave the baby shower.
A makeshift memorial now stands outside the police department in honor of the dog.
